Travel: Best Southern Inns

Jan Schroder

In one of my fantasy lives, I’d spend a year just traveling from inn to inn around the South tipping my teacup at afternoon teas, indulging in three-course dinners at some of the region’s finest restaurants and sitting on wide blue-ceilinged porches sipping an evening cocktail while taking in scenic views.

Here are a few of the inns I’d be sure to include on that trip. Until that year comes, I’ll be satisfied with wonderful weekend getaways. For more information on all of these inns, including some specials, please visit my Girl on the Go blog.
